Our Value Added Processes

We know that a lot of what we do is not seen and these are just some of the things we are consistently doing for you.

  1. Our clients have access to their funds and can conveniently view their accounts online in a secure environment if they choose.
  2. With certain types of investment accounts you can have check writing, set up systematic investments and/or distributions. You can move money easily between non-retirement accounts with a simple phone call to us.
  3. We are constantly reading and scanning information and looking at ways to connect the dots on all of the information that comes to us. You could look at us as a giant filter for the financial information produced daily. We work to boil it down to what is important for our clients. Anything from the Wall Street Journal, Barron's, Bloomberg, to the 8 to 10 industry publications we get monthly, to all the research reports that we review on a regular basis.
  4. We do a lot of research. We talk to our research department. We talk to different mutual fund companies. We attend conference calls, or, if we're concerned about something we will have a discussion with the person that runs the fund or talk to a LPL research associate that visits the managers. We attend meetings to learn more about what's going on when we're concerned about things or to just do periodic due diligence before we use a manager or product.
  5. We review accounts, compare account performance to benchmarks; we review investments and compare those investments to benchmarks, not only within their category, but within the overall global universe. We're always comparing and looking for things that aren't working and things that are working really well, and then looking at the differences and drilling down deep to find out what's going on individually and what's healthy and what's not healthy.
  6. Shepherd Your Wealth® has been a wonderful way to help clients realize that even when markets are up and down, their retirement can still continue as planned and it helps keep the plan current with all the important topics and priorities covered. We have not found another firm that has their own process for making sure client relationships are managed proactively and completely as we now do with Shepherd Your Wealth®.
  7. We do whatever it takes when times are tough. We lost several clients/friends during the last year or so, some expected and some unexpected deaths. We think it is our most important roll to be there for those who have suffered a loss and help them sort out the financial matters as well as make the best decisions for themselves or beneficiaries going forward. After all, many times our clients wanted to have a relationship with us so we could be there to help their families.
